Women’s Circle

Women’s Circle – via zoom with the hope to move to meeting in person when we can.

Rachael Millsom, nature lover, counsellor, meditation and mindfulness facilitator invites you to come on a journey of discovery, growth and connection.

Join Rachael for an intentional therapeutic growth circle for women. This is a strength and wellness focused group that uses mindfulness, meditation, reflection, sharing and nature connection to explore a different theme each week.

Initial session: Monday 3rd August 7.30pm – 9pm (via zoom)

Proposed subsequent sessions:

Monday 14th September 7.30 – 9pm (on zoom or round the campfire depending on restrictions)

Monday 12th October 7.30 – 9pm (on zoom or round the campfire depending on restrictions)

My intention with the circle (as with all circles I have run previously) is to offer a space for women to share and also to be witnessed and to witness each other as we move through our lives.  It is a confidential space to be yourself to share, or not to share and also to reflect on life.  I often use nature as a metaphore and as part of the reflection elements of the circle.
I generally run these circles with the following format.
 – meet, have a cuppa and chat / check in with each other
– open the circle with a guided meditation / reflection led by myself.
-for a new circle or whenever a new member comes along we have a chat about group guidelines to ensure everyone feels safe enough to be themselves in the space.
 – open to sharing and discussion – depending what the group decides (as we are starting new) this may be initially with a talking stick  – or I guess on zoom waiting till someone has finished then putting your hand up – we can work that out together.
 – sharing and discussion is usually around a theme – this could be something that someone in the group has expressed as a theme they would like to explore, otherwise it is something that I offer.  Some examples of themes I have used in the past include – reflecting on the seasons, how we make decisions, change, self care.  sometimes we stick to a topic, sometimes it moves on to something else.  Sharing is always optional, some weeks you may feel like you have things you want to say / share, other weeks you may be more quiet.
-closing the circle with a final reflection and meditation.

Bookings are essential as places are limited (8 maximum). Payment will be by contribution (usually around $15- $30 waged or $5-$10 unwaged).

Mother’s Circle – by request only (currently not offered due to coronavirus)

Being with your baby and toddler is a wonderful and special time for both you and your small person. Yet there are also many challenges that come from within and surrounding you as a mother.

Join Rachael Millsom, Counsellor, Meditation teacher and Mother for a get together.

  • Meet other mothers in your area.
  • Learn mindfulness and meditation techniques you can use with small people around and when you have limited time.
  • Discuss topics relating to motherhood.
  • Spend time in a safe supportive and nurturing space.

A suggested age range for babies and toddlers is 0– 3 years.

Sessions: Rachael currently runs this on request only – suited to mothers or friends groups.
