Rachael offers Walk and Talk Therapy along the Merri and Edgars Creeks in Coburg. An initial session can be arranged in a traditional counselling room setting in Coburg and / or at any point along the therapeutic journey should you wish to move sessions inside that is possible (please see Rachael’s Counselling page here).
Corona Virus Update: Rachael is now offering counselling online using zoom as another option. face to face session can still be arranged.
Why walk and talk?
There are many benefits to taking therapy / counselling into the outdoors: time in nature is beneficial to one’s health; walking and moving the body can help the body process and move through issues; and walking is a side by side activity and can feel more comfortable for many people.
Walk and talk sessions run for around 60 minutes and leave from Outlook Road in Coburg (at the carpark for the Coburg Basketball stadium).
How much walking is there?
In a walk and talk session we might walk the whole time or we might walk some of the time and find a place to sit in nature for some of the time, the walking is part of the process by secondary to the therapeutic process. Walking is generally at a slow to moderate pace.

After a minimum of one initial session Rachael can arrange 1/2 and full day sessions. Full day sessions can involve travel up to 1.5 hours from Melbourne.
1 hour sessions are $110 ($80 concession / health care)
Discounts available for ongoing / regular sessions on a case by case basis.
