An opportunity for Adventure, Connection and Reflection.
Bush Time is my new offering for 2017. Bush Time is an opportunity to get just that – Bush Time.
Bush Time is an opportunity to leave the city behind for the day or to visit the bush in the city:
- to be active as well as to be still;
- to connect and meet new people as well as to be silent;
- to be curious in nature and curious about ourselves and others;
- to create distance from the everyday so that we can see more clearly; and
- to have fun, to be playful and laugh.
Next dates: Tuesday May 30th. Monday 25th September.
May 30th – For this Bush Time we will be starting in my backyard with a Fire – we will explore what we are shining a light for and how do we keep that burning. This will be a bit of an experiment and we may also explore carrying fire.
18th September – Meeting at the convergence of the Merri and Edgars Creeks. Time to connect to our backyard and ourselves.
Monday the 27th Feb we went to Lerderderg George, about an hour from Melbourne.
Monday 20th March we headed to Plenty Gorge.
What happens on a day of Bush Time?
We meet 9.30am at my place – or at an alternate pick up point such as a train station that is on route to our location. Alternatively you can meet us on location. Please contact Rachael to arrange this.
Drive to our location (0mins – 40mins) and we get to know each other on the way, setting the scene.
We arrive and we stop to breathe in the air and get ready for our walk.
We meditate, connecting to ourselves and the world around us.
We walk / maybe swim depending on location and weather.
We stop regularly to connect with the world around us and we don’t go far. Bush time is about being in the bush, not racing through it.
We gather and connect with Rachael as our facilitator.
We take time out to be just with us in the bush.
We rejoin, share, get playful and eat together.
We return to Coburg by 2.30pm
While there is some structure planned into each Bush Time day it is also fluid and moves depending on the needs and wants of each group.
At this stage bush time is limited to 4 participants, unless another vehicle is also coming. These first two sessions are a trial – I am pretty sure they will be awesome!
1 day is $80 and includes transport, food and facilitation for the day.
What do I need to wear / bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather. Long sleeves are recommended to protect against sun and insects. Please also wear a hat and suncream. If there is a chance of rain for that day bring a raincoat. Your own water for the day – 2L and a day pack to put things in.
Bookings: Bookings can be made by contacting Rachael. email@example.com or 0431 290 174. Your place is confirmed with a minimum $30 deposit. I reserve the right to change the location of Bush Time as the need / weather arises.
